- For a borehole, register it with your local municipality (some require notice or approval before drilling), and use a driller who reports the borehole to the Department of Water and Sanitation under the National Water Act.
- Confirm public liability insurance, a CIPC-registered business and an itemised written quote covering excavation, the tank/soakaway and reinstatement.
