Master Movers

Master Movers **** their customers with hidden charges I decided to use Master Movers to move my furniture from a 2nd floor apartment in Lonehill to a 3rd floor apartment Magaliessig in November - which I decscibed in my RQF. The movers could easily move the couch, but the managed by using rope. Upon arrival in Magaliessig, they agin struggles to move my couch, to wich they advised that they can return with proper hoisting equipment. Master Movers sent me storage (2 months) and hoisting invoices, which i paid. When I was making arrangemets for the delivery, Master Movers then sends me another invoice for delivery. When I question this charge, they tell me that they have to charge that is how they do businnes. When I explained to them that it is their staff that struggled to complete their duties and insisted on leaving, they then sent me another hoisting invoice of R3162.50. I had already paid 8211.00 (initial moving invoice), 287,50 X 2 for storage and R977 for hoisting, yet Master Movers wants to add an additional amounts that should not be there.

Top-notch service I wish there were more stars to give Master Movers! I was extremely stressed about how I would move my furniture and appliances to Durban, but Master Movers came to my rescue. Carla supported me throughout the entire process, from providing quotes to ensuring that both the collection and delivery went smoothly. She kept me informed and made the whole experience much less stressful. The collection team was also excellent—professional, efficient, and very friendly. If I ever find myself missing home in Johannesburg and decide to move back, I will definitely use Master Movers again. Highly recommended!

A smooth and stress free moving experience I was genuinely pleased by the high level of professionalism shown by the team at Master Movers. Fidelis and Paul, with whom I dealt directly, were a pleasure to work with, and the removal crew handled my furniture with great care and respect. The entire experience was smooth and reassuring. WARNING: Misleading quotes, lost items, damaged goods, and hidden fees I strongly caution anyone considering Master Movers. Before choosing them, we specifically asked their sales agent to include all fees in the initial quote, including redelivery. I was reassured this would be the case, but when we returned from overseas, we were told our furniture would not be released from storage unless we paid an additional redelivery fee. After storing our household items for over 2 years, several items arrived damaged, including a broken table leg and a cabinet with major paint damage. Most importantly, the lid of our Weber braai was missing, making it unusable. Despite immediately reporting these issues, the company refused to take responsibility, hiding behind signed delivery paperwork and the lack of insurance. Their communication was dismissive, and they offered no real resolution. If you value your belongings and want a company that is honest and accountable, look elsewhere. Master Movers’ misleading quotes, careless handling, poor customer service, and surprise fees caused us unnecessary stress and financial loss.
